Thought Provoking Question for Ethics.

Do students really understand Copy Right Laws? And do they know what might happen if not followed correctly?

  1. I feel some students might not really understand. As educators we must teach our students the do's and don'ts of using someone else's work.

  2. I don't think teachers understand copyright laws, so how can the students know. If we were educated on copyright laws the way we are trained and prepared in college, I believe we could teach our students once we enter the classroom. If we learn something early on we take it with us throughout life and we are bound to share that information. We need to teach our children at an early age about copyright laws and practice what we preach.

  3. I feel that students does not understand the copyright laws. Teachers have difficulity understanding them. I do feel that the teacher should stay on top of the copyright laws and keep students up to date to include telling them what happens in the copyright law is broken.

  4. Most students know that the laws exist but are ignorant of the consequences.
